CHECK 21 SPEED CHECKING
SINKS YOUR FLOAT.........
If you don't have it, don't write it. if you think you can get away with a little float. think again. You know what float is, you write a check today hoping it won't be deducted from your account for a couple of days. That thinking won't necessarily work anymore. The Check Clearing for 21st Century act (Check 21) has been in effect now since October 28, 2004. Now checks written on an account that use to take days to clear will possibly clear within hours. Members need to think about wheather they need to change their checking habits. To find out more information on this Act stop by the Credit Union for the Check 21 pamphlet.
